Photo 27 is our class from the past. In this class students will embrace many of the printing and visual techniques associated with the history of photography. Developing a personal vision by seeing and working with non-traditional methods for creation photographic images Historical silver, non-silver and digital processes will be used and combined for representational and non-representational imagery. Activities include; shooting and sharing photography projects, homework readings and writings, Internet research, exams, demonstrations and discussions of a variety of professional photographer’s images. This class is required for our Fine Art Certificate and is not offered every semester. Photography’s history is like a large family tree, with many branches and roots going off in different directions. Through this class the student will grow to appreciate that heritage and realize that there are many other resources and methods from which to make a visual statement.
