Abney Cemetery, London England

Tucked away in a suburb of London lies Abney Cemetery. An abandoned, 30-acre site of  overgrown, neglected graves, a Gothic Chapel and a maze of pathways.
Thousands of headstones, many dating to the 1800’s  have been desecrated and left in disarray.
Today the land has been placed in a conservancy to protect it from looting and general vandalism.

The Chapel in the center shows evidence of the Victorian era with an outside entry designed for a horse drawn hearse.
Researchers of the paranormal roam the grounds seeking contact with spirits.
Walking through the many pathways, some graves are so totally overgrown they are lost. The location is so ‘haunted’ that it has  been used in the filming of horror movies.
      It is an eerie place.
